First of all be prepared to wait for this item for about 2 weeks. I received it today on November 17 and I was quite disappointed at the quality of the shipping department who packaged this up. They put a fragile piece of metal that was 43" long into a flimsy flat piece of cardboard and simply closed it up with some tape. There was no double box involved or any type of packaging material to protect the item! Very poor job on the shipping end compared to other shippers. The return address simply said "Shipping mgr, Drop Ship 7112 Marcelle St. Paramount, CA 90723" The phone number is a joke as they put (111)111-1111 under the address. Guess they don't want anyone calling them up to tell them about the shoddy packaging job huh?



Next, the picture on the web-site is very deceiving. It shows what appears to be a black painted wrought iron. However, when I looked at the item it looked like someone had put an oily rusty type paint on it. To make matters worse, the paint was still wet and all over the plastic bag, which of course went onto my fingers!



Next thing I noticed was that there is no place to put a hook or anchor it to your wall! How the heck is someone suppose to hang this piece I wonder? The other wrought iron items I purchased all came with a metal tab with a hole in it spot welded to the item. This product gives you nothing at all to attach!



In short, if you order this piece be prepared to get a shoddy packaging job on the item. Then be prepared to re-paint it your color in order to get rid of the oily rust color they have on it. Next, be prepared to make some type of anchoring system to actually attach the item to your wall. You will wither have to unwrap one of those flimsy sheet metal wrappings around the center bar or put the screw into the wall and put a metal tie wrap or a piece of metal coat-hanger.



*NOTE* I ended up getting rid of those 8 little metal wraps that are around the long center piece before I painted it. Then I ended up drilling a 3/16" hole in both of the extreme ends in order to attach it to my wall. Yes, those little arrow points at the end. That was the only decent way I could figure out on how to hang it up. Looks good on the wall now but it takes some work when you first get it.
